Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Ensuring a design is installed as designed is one of the keys to ensuring the system works as intended and continues working that way for many years. This is true for the mechanical system, but even more so for the ground heat exchanger buried outside of or even under your building.
Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) begins with a solid energy model and site analysis to ensure we are working with the most accurate information to design the system. It continues in the drawings and written specifications that outline our expectations of the contractors. We have found great value in conducting a “pre-construction site meeting” with all of the project stakeholders to avoid potential conflict with other trades, duplication of work and to ensure all of the work is covered.
Scheduled and random site inspections during construction of the ground heat exchanger and system ensure the system is installed as specified and open communication with the contractors helps ensure their questions and concerns are addressed before installation.
