About Geo-Xergy...

Geo-Xergy Systems was founded in 2006 to meet the growing demand for better energy performance in building systems. Owners, designers and contractors are choosing innovative energy solutions to reduce rising energy costs and environmental concerns.

We believe in an integrated approach to building system design by working with all stakeholders to improve building performance. Many factors may influence your decision, but cost is typically the driving factor. Reducing operating costs is good, but only if capital costs are controlled.

Even though Geo-Xergy was founded in 2006, the firm has over 40 years combined experience in geothermal system design and implementation. The ideas and design process developed by Geo-Xergy  is unique in the industry, but is rooted in a strong fundamental knowledge base supported by years of experience.

Our niche experience includes pioneering the integration of ice rink refrigeration systems with ground heat exchangers to enable the recovery of “waste heat” in recreation facilities and nearby buildings through ambient temperature district earth energy systems. Over 50 such systems have been completed in the U.S. and Canada in the last 12 years, with each system displacing most, if not all fossil fuel combustion in these facilities.

In commercial buildings we have integrated proven, existing technologies such as thermal energy storage and radiant heating with a ground heat exchanger to provide solutions with both capital and energy cost savings. Peak cooling loads are controlled to take advantage of electrical demand savings and “time of use” rate structures. Heat extracted from one source is used to provide tangible benefits such as space or domestic water heating, or even snow melt systems.

Services provided by Geo-Xergy are described on the services page. Our projects can be reviewed on the Geo-Xergy geothermal projects page.
